Updated Aug 30, 12:31 AM CDTJackson stays in a volatile reserve role
Ashlon Jackson remains part of Connecticut's reserve guard mix, but Friday's 10.3-minute outing showed how narrow the role can become. She scored three points in the 111–91 loss to Indiana and entered the final two minutes after the result was settled. Kennedy Burke's national-team absence still leaves extra backcourt work available, yet Hailey Van Lith and Gianna Kneepkens also played longer Friday, while Charlisse Leger-Walker and Saniya Rivers continue to lead the starting group. Jackson has a mid-teens path when the second unit needs scoring, but her floor remains sensitive to gameflow and the nightly guard rotation.
